Craig Pierce Bio

Law enforcement has always been a huge part of my life-my dad was a sheriff, and both my brothers are cops.  As a kid, my dream was simple: I wanted to be a police officer.

After graduating ILEA in 2003, I spent my first two years working for the Lyons Police Dept. When I say I know what it is like to work for a department of one, I wasn't kidding.  I have been blessed to work the last 21 years for the Evansville Police Dept. Sixteen of those years I have been on our SWAT team, along with teaching defensive tactics for our department and much of the south for the last twenty years.  I still work the street and don't believe I will leave it until the day I retire.

I became involved with the ISOA around 2012-13 as a district representative.  I have served several different roles including Vice President and now President for the last three years. I have worked under several great past ISOA presidents and tried to learn as much as I could.  My goal and the goal of the ISOA is and will always be to help officers get trained.

I've been blessed to live out my dream of being a police officer.  Stay safe-and don't believe what some people try to say about this job.  This is truly the greatest job on earth.
