The nominee is not required to be a member of a tactical team.

This award will be presented at the Annual Spring Conference Banquet to a member or members of the Indiana SWAT Officers Association who have demonstrated one of the following actions:

1. Performance of an act of valor while engaged in a critical incident,
2. during an event for which SWAT would have been deployed or
3. where specific tactically related skills of the candidate positively affected the outcome

Nominations for the award may be submitted by any member (in good standing), including Executive Board members of the Indiana SWAT Officers Association.
